Democracy and equality are the cornerstones of an open, future-ready society and economy. Companies have a special responsibility not only to uphold these values but to actively promote them. The workplace brings together people with diverse perspectives, making it an ideal environment for fostering democratic values. While many companies championed democracy ahead of the federal election, current developments serve as a reminder to remain vigilant; progress is by no means guaranteed. For instance, the proportion of women in the Bundestag has fallen from 35.7% to 32.4%.
