Kathrin Mahler Walther on the Total E-Quality Board of Trustees

Since 2023, the Executive Director of EAF Berlin has been serving in an advisory capacity to the Board and Advisory Council, alongside other distinguished individuals.

Prominent figures from business, science, politics, and administration support the work of TOTAL E-QUALITY e. V. in the public sphere through their involvement in the Board of Trustees. Furthermore, the Board of Trustees serves in an advisory capacity to the Executive Board and Advisory Council.

Together with companies, universities, research organizations, and associations, the association is committed to shaping a work culture that enables talent from all backgrounds to enter and advance in their careers. Particular attention is paid to linking gender-specific aspects with a wide range of personal and social characteristics. Such an intersectional approach aims to reduce the influence of (gender) stereotypes and to expand non-discriminatory, inclusive organizational structures.

The association annually awards the TOTAL E-QUALITY distinction for exemplary action in fostering an organizational culture geared toward equal opportunity. The TOTAL E-QUALITY distinction certifies successful and sustainable commitment to equal opportunity and signifies a clear commitment by participating organizations to gender equality and diversity. The more organizations that are recognized, the higher the standards for an equitable working world evolve, becoming a relevant factor in the competition for the best talent.

The next award ceremony will take place on October 19, 2023.

Femtec comes to an end—its impact lives on

For 25 years, Femtec has empowered women in STEM. With the dissolution of the GmbH at the end of April, an important chapter comes to a close – but the momentum, experience, and the powerful network of over 1,700 alumnae will continue to have an impact far beyond this moment. EAF Berlin co-founded Femtec with the Technical University of Berlin in 2001. We look back with joy and pride on more than two decades of successful and sustainable commitment alongside an extraordinary network of companies and universities.

New study reveals the extent and impact of sexism in the workplace

63 percent of employees in Germany have experienced sexism at work. The study, conducted by EAF Berlin as part of the "Together Against Sexism" alliance, shows that women and genderqueer individuals are primarily affected, while sexism is predominantly perpetrated by men. These experiences often lead to emotional and psychological distress and can negatively impact careers and financial situations.
