2025 Donation Report

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the generous support provided to EAF’s partners in Ukraine. We received 4,700 euros through our December 2024 fundraising appeal. As we have done several times over the past three years, we collaborated on the distribution of these funds with the women’s organization "Diya" in Odesa and its chair, Natalya Deliyeva.

In February 2025, 2,700 euros were sent to the city of Mykolaiv, which is located near the front line. You may have seen in the news that the city suffered a massive attack on its power grid at the beginning of the year, leaving thousands of people without heating in sub-zero temperatures.

The donations were used to purchase urgently needed supplies for two care homes for the elderly and people with disabilities, including wheelchairs, diapers, and medication. We know our local contact, Oksana Yelchieva, personally from our project "Together for Democracy" with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Oksana serves as the director for social protection within the military administration.

In December 2024, 2,000 euros were used to provide medical supplies for children with diabetes in Odesa, specifically blood glucose monitoring sensors. Funds were also used to buy Christmas gifts for children who have lost their fathers in the war.

Our partners tell us time and again how important it is for them to know that people in Germany are thinking of them and supporting them. Especially in the current, extremely difficult situation for Ukraine, our donations serve as a visible sign of solidarity.
