"Together Against Sexism" alliance begins new funding period

The "Together Against Sexism" alliance is entering a new funding period. From January 1, 2026, through the end of 2029, the initiative will continue and further develop its core activities.

In the new funding period, the focus will shift even more strongly toward sexism in the workplace under the project title "For Respect and Fairness in Society and the Working World."

The project builds upon the previous successes and networks of the "Together Against Sexism" alliance and will consistently carry them forward. The new funding period aims to further sharpen social and economic awareness of sexism in everyday life and the workplace, while sustainably promoting respectful and fair interaction in the professional sphere.

The alliance brings together nearly 900 members nationwide from business, government, and civil society, all united by the goal of taking a firm stand against sexism and sexual harassment. Alliance membership and all associated resources are free of charge.

The "Together Against Sexism" alliance project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and is implemented in partnership with EAF Berlin.

Femtec comes to an end—its impact lives on

For 25 years, Femtec has empowered women in STEM. With the dissolution of the GmbH at the end of April, an important chapter comes to a close – but the momentum, experience, and the powerful network of over 1,700 alumnae will continue to have an impact far beyond this moment. EAF Berlin co-founded Femtec with the Technical University of Berlin in 2001. We look back with joy and pride on more than two decades of successful and sustainable commitment alongside an extraordinary network of companies and universities.

New study reveals the extent and impact of sexism in the workplace

63 percent of employees in Germany have experienced sexism at work. The study, conducted by EAF Berlin as part of the "Together Against Sexism" alliance, shows that women and genderqueer individuals are primarily affected, while sexism is predominantly perpetrated by men. These experiences often lead to emotional and psychological distress and can negatively impact careers and financial situations.
