Die Studie der EAF Berlin wurde im Auftrag des Sächsischen Staatsministeriums der Justiz und für Demokratie, Europa und Gleichstellung (SMJusDEG) von Kathrin Mahler Walther, Anna Sive, Lisa Hempe und Dr. Helga Lukoschat durchgeführt. Sie untersucht Zugangswege, Motivations- und Erfolgsfaktoren ebenso wie Barrieren und Hürden sowie Erwartungen und Bedarfe bezüglich der Ausführung eines kommunalpolitischen Mandats in Sachsen.

On the occasion of the 2023 repeat election in Berlin, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung's Berlin office is publishing figures on the proportion of women in Berlin politics – from the district assemblies and the House of Representatives to the Senate. The study's authors, Lisa Hempe, Dr. Helga Lukoschat (both EAF Berlin), and Dr. Nora Langenbacher (FES), present conclusions for increasing women's participation and provide new impetus for the debate on a parity law and the importance of electoral law. Conclusion: only binding regulations lead to equal participation for women and men.

For the study "Women in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU): Stereotypes and Progress," Dr. Yuliia Siedaia surveyed around 100 female military personnel representing various military professions. The interviews provide insight into stereotypes regarding women in the modern Ukrainian army, the primary manifestations of sexism that women in the AFU face, and the extent of sexual harassment within the AFU. This study was produced as part of a collaboration between KAS Kharkiv and EAF Berlin.

Survey on the situation of local politics in five cities in the East Westphalia-Lippe and South Westphalia regions.

Elected officials raising families are particularly underrepresented in local politics. The reasons for this are numerous, as are the solutions. The study "With Children in Politics" uses numerous examples, interviews, and profiles to show what structural changes can be initiated in municipalities to make local politics more family-friendly and, consequently, more diverse. It contains concrete steps and recommendations for action for policymakers, administrations, and associations.
