Together Against Sexism

Over the past few years and decades, many efforts have been made to combat sexism in our society. Despite this, sexism remains a persistent problem. In the "Dialogue Forums Against Sexism" project, EAF Berlin focused on the three areas where sexism is most frequently encountered: public spaces, the workplace, and the arts and media. Together with companies, government ministries, and civil society organizations, we discussed potential measures and practical examples. The goal is to recognize sexism and sexual harassment, address them head-on, and demonstrate how to take effective action.

This guide summarizes the findings: it provides an overview and outlines the legal foundations and impacts of sexism. It offers practical recommendations for anyone looking to prevent and combat sexism. In addition to concrete examples and ideas for successfully curbing sexism, it also provides essential background knowledge.

This guide was developed in collaboration with numerous organizations and individuals from business, politics, media, culture, and civil society.
