Workshop in Neu-Ulm: How to tackle sexism in the workplace?

Sexism and sexual harassment in the workplace occur in almost every organization, yet they remain taboo subjects. What corporate strategies exist to combat sexism, and what are the legal obligations under the General Act on Equal Treatment (AGG)? What role does corporate culture play, and what is meant by a "speak-up culture"?
The City of Neu-Ulm cordially invites companies and managers to participate in the City of Neu-Ulm's Action Day Against Sexism, held in cooperation with the "Together Against Sexism" alliance for the workshop "Corporate Strategies Against Sexism and Sexual Harassment in the Workplace," hosted by the Women's Counseling & Emergency Hotline of the Neu-Ulm Workers' Welfare Association (AWO).
The event aims to facilitate discussion and the exchange of experiences among managers and representatives from the professional world regarding effective measures against workplace sexism.

More about the "Together Against Sexism" alliance
Sexism is widespread in our society. It demeans people based on their gender and is something we encounter daily in many areas of life. The "Together Against Sexism" alliance—funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ) and implemented by EAF Berlin in partnership with the ministry—is committed to taking a firm stand against it. The goal is to recognize sexism and sexual harassment, address them openly, and establish effective measures to combat them.
