Sexism and sexual harassment in the workplace occur in almost every company. Yet, the topic remains taboo, and those affected often stay silent for fear of negative consequences. Our expert briefing will address how we can work together to combat sexism in our daily work lives. Which measures have proven effective? What are the obligations of employers, and what role does corporate culture play? Why can a structural shift toward a society free of sexism only succeed if we work together?

Background

Sexism is widespread in our society. It demeans people based on their gender and is something we encounter daily in many areas of life. The "Together Against Sexism" alliance, funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ) and implemented by EAF Berlin in partnership with the ministry, aims to take a firm stand against this. The goal is to recognize sexism and sexual harassment, address them openly, and establish effective measures to combat them.

Time: March 7, 2024, 11:00 a.m. – approx. 12:30 p.m.

This expert briefing is aimed at managers, employers, employees, and anyone else interested in the topic!
