During her studies, she worked in social research, participated in a collaborative research project, and served as a tutor at the University of Augsburg. She also gained experience in public relations and editorial work at the Free University of Berlin. Most recently, she completed the Young DGAP Fellowship at the German Council on Foreign Relations in Berlin. Additionally, she gained insight into the work of the Equal Opportunities Office of the City of Augsburg during an internship.

In addition to her work at EAF Berlin, Lea Rahman has been pursuing a doctorate in international relations at the University of Augsburg since 2023 as part of the Graduate School for the Humanities and Social Sciences.
