Empowering Mayors: Resilience Circle 2025

Female mayors are in demand as crisis managers. Managing crises requires resilience, a strong network, and time for reflection and strategic planning. We define resilience as the ability to reflect on challenges and crises and use personal and social resources to leverage them for your own development, with the goal of emerging stronger.

The resilience circles for full-time female mayors address exactly these needs. With this series of events, we offer you:

• an exchange with colleagues from across Germany,
• inspiration,
• targeted insights for your work, and
• personal empowerment for your duties in office.

Three digital resilience circles will take place from September to December 2025. The practical content is tailored to the realities of local politics and can be applied immediately in your daily work. The number of participants is limited. Support for networking is available upon request.

This format is designed and implemented by EAF Berlin in collaboration with Birte Kruse-Gobrecht, a freelance coach and Associated Expert at EAF Berlin. The resilience circle was successfully conducted, evaluated, and further developed in 2024 as part of a pilot project funded by the Federal Ministry for Education, Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ).

Dates

The ONLINE resilience circles for female mayors will take place on the following 3 dates from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day covering these topics:

• November 3, 2025: The Administration – Pulling Together?
• December 3, 2025: Madam Mayor, could you just…? Successful Time Management & Self-Care

• Registration is binding. Once registered, you will receive an invoice from us. The cost for participating in all resilience circles is 550 euros per person.
