
Rana Göroğlu
Senior Expert
Rana Göroğlu has been a Senior Expert and Project Coordinator at EAF Berlin since 2022, working primarily on the “Together Against Sexism” alliance, a cross-industry initiative taking a stand against sexism. Her work focuses on communications, intersectional networking, and project development.
Rana Göroğlu studied history, politics, and Turkology in Göttingen and Berlin. Following time abroad in Turkey and the Netherlands, she earned a Master of Arts in Euroculture from the University of Groningen in 2002. She subsequently worked as a cross-media journalist and editor (including for zitty, rbb radiomultikulti, ZDF, and Berliner Zeitung). She has also authored publications on migration and integration for historical-political education organizations and provided training in press and public relations.
In 2008, she co-founded the association Neue deutsche Medienmacher*innen , which advocates for diversity in the media. From 2012 to 2020, she played a key role in building and developing the service portal Mediendienst Integration , first as an editor and later as managing director and project coordinator.
In 2017, she completed the leadership program at the LEAD Academy. From 2020 to 2022, she worked as a Communications and Project Officer at the MaLisa Foundation, where she oversaw studies on gender representation and other diversity factors in (audiovisual) media and helped initiate the first intersectional round table and online guide on diversity in German media.
