Kristina Heller is an expert in gender and politics, working primarily for the Helene Weber-Kolleg. The Helene Weber-Kolleg supports women in local politics through an awards ceremony and an associated network.

From 2017 to 2022, Kristina Heller worked as an assistant to the equal opportunities officer at a research institute, where she gained extensive experience in institutional gender equality work. In 2022, she completed further training in coaching and supervision.

Kristina Heller studied cultural and political science in Lüneburg and at the Université Rennes II in France. While in Lüneburg, she was active in university politics and served as an elected spokesperson for the student body. She completed her Master’s degree in Sociology at the University of Jena in 2022. Her academic focus was on issues surrounding gender relations in the tension between care work and paid employment.
