Lisa Hempe is a Senior Expert specializing in democracy promotion, participation, migration, and politics. She currently coordinates the "Action Program Municipality – Women into Politics!". This nationwide program aims to work with selected model regions to sustainably increase the proportion of women in local government and leadership positions, while initiating structural changes intended to positively impact the overall acceptance and appeal of local politics.

Previously, she worked on policy projects at the Helene Weber-Kolleg, the nationwide, cross-party platform for more women in (local) politics. Her responsibilities included monitoring the 2021 federal election to determine the number of women, men, and non-binary individuals among Bundestag candidates in constituencies and on party state lists. From 2017 to 2020, she also worked on the vocational orientation program Open Doors – Open Minds for women with refugee and migration backgrounds from crisis regions.

Before studying business administration with a focus on sustainable management and marketing at the Berlin School of Economics and Law , she completed an apprenticeship as an event management assistant at WealthCap Real Estate Management GmbH. During her studies, she worked at MexWorld Consulting in Mexico City and the Agentur Hopf Strategie in Berlin. There, she gained practical experience in project management within the fields of international business consulting and communications. From 2018 to 2020, she completed a part-time master's degree inCultural Relations and Migrationat the Sigmund Freud University in Berlin.
