Hanna Völkle
Expert for diversity, gender equality and digital technologies

Hanna Völkle works at the intersection of diversity, gender equality and digital technologies. The social scientist is a board member of EAF Berlin. Most recently, she has been working on participatory concepts for equal-opportunity flexibilization of sustainable work, practical building blocks (for example, workshops on unconscious bias) for various target groups in business and science, as well as on the topic of diversity and digital work.

Before joining EAF Berlin, she completed a traineeship in science communication and graduated from a vocational course to become a communication manager.

Hanna Völkle studied Social Sciences and Political Economy in Düsseldorf and Berlin. Her focus was on European integration and political communication as well as feminist economics and ecological sustainability. Voted one of the top students in her final year, she received an HWR Talent award in 2017. Since 2019, Hanna Völkle has been teaching “Feminist and Ecological Economics” and since 2022 “Digital Transformation” courses for Master’s students at the Berlin School of Economics and Law. She is doing her PhD at the University of Vechta with Prof. Dr. Ulrike Knobloch on the feminist economics of time.

Hanna Völkle is a research associate at the Harriet Taylor Mill Institute, based at the Berlin School of Economics and Law, where she specializes in the research area of “Digitalization, Gender and Diversity”.
