Since we were founded in 1996, we’ve been advised by a board of trustees. It consists of notable figures from public life, politics, economics and science.

When it comes to changing the working world, we need to start the conversation now. This conversation needs to be about more than just technological innovation, we also need to talk about societal innovation. What are the best ways of working together? How can we value diversity, inclusion, equality? What principles should work have for us? What does good leadership look like? The EAF Berlin addresses these questions with its programs and projects. We’d like to encourage people to change their perspectives and look at things in a new light. This is so much more exciting than technological change.
I’m committed to the goals of the EAF Berlin because genuine gender equality, inclusion and diversity have not yet been achieved, nor is there sufficient awareness of the issues across large parts of our society. The EAF is committed to these goals in a professional and creative way, constantly and consistently. So thank you for your work so far – here’s to many more successful years!
For me, the EAF Berlin has been a reliably innovative player in gender equality issues for many years. I have grown particularly fond of the association as the coordinator of the Helene Weber Prize, awarded by the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs. The award and the network of award winners in the Helene Weber College are a tailwind for women in local politics. Achieving equal participation in political decision-making at the local level is one of the most important issues of gender equality policy in the long term.
The opportunity to build a bridge between business, politics and science and to make forward-looking topics such as education, integration and diversity more relevant in Germany are both an incentive and a challenge for me to get involved in the EAF’s board of trustees.
